Rasky Baerlein Names Justine Griffin as Principal

January 21, 2010 (Boston) –
Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications, one of the country’s top 50 independent, full-service communications firms, today named Justine Griffin as Principal in the firm. Ms. Griffin has been with Rasky Baerlein since 2004, and serves as practice group leader for the Crisis and Litigation Communications practice.

“Justine’s promotion to principal continues to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to developing leadership across the organization and within the industry,” said Larry Rasky, Chairman of Rasky Baerlein. “Along with Kelly Lynch and George Cronin, named principals in 2008, Justine will be involved in the management of the firm’s day-to-day operations, while continuing to manage clients within her practice area.”

“Justine’s leadership was instrumental in helping build the firm’s national crisis management practice,” said Joe Baerlein, President of Rasky Baerlein. With former Wall Street Journal reporter, Chris Cooper, now in the firm’s Washington office, Baerlein noted that “Justine and Chris now offer national companies some of the most sophisticated crisis counseling services anywhere in the United States.”

“Over the past five years with Rasky Baerlein, Justine has worked on numerous high profile media relations and crisis campaigns that have achieved great successes for our clients,” said Ann Carter, CEO of Rasky Baerlein. “She has earned this promotion because of her dedication to client service, her knowledge of the media landscape and her ability to manage challenging client situations.”

Ms. Griffin manages the crisis communications practice for Rasky Baerlein, with specialty areas in business disputes and litigation communications. Crisis and litigation communications is a specialty of the firm, and she and her team have worked with clients on civil and criminal cases, government investigations, and a range of high profile business disputes.

Drawing on more than 15 years of experience, Justine’s expertise is in managing projects at the intersection of government and the media, including public relations campaigns surrounding the changes in the Massachusetts’ auto insurance system, the contentious siting of a new off-shore LNG terminal and the defeat of a ballot question that would have allowed grocery stores to sell wine in Massachusetts.
