Rasky Baerlein Grows Public Affairs Team and Announces Four Promotions


 

May 13, 2009 (Boston) - Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications today announced the hiring of Owen Pollock to the Public Affairs team. The firm also announced promotions of four staff members: Lauren Crowne, Marissa M. Goldstein, Lea Cademenos, and Lily Lynch.

Owen Pollock will work with the public affairs and government relations team as a public affairs associate.  He will be responsible for day-to-day account management, legislation research, gathering political intelligence and conducting government outreach.  With his strong background in working on campaigns, Owen will also participate in grassroots campaigns on behalf of clients.  Before joining Rasky Baerlein, Owen worked on numerous national and regional political campaigns.  

Rasky Baerlein also promoted four members of its staff:  

Lauren Crowne has been promoted to account executive with the education, healthcare and nonprofit team.  She provides communications support to the team through media monitoring, research and analysis, and media outreach for the team’s clients such as American Cancer Society, Boston Center for Adult Education, Lasell College and Museum of Science, Boston.

Marissa Moskowitz Goldstein is now an account executive for the energy and environment practice group and provides communication support, including the development, coordination and execution of strategic communications campaigns for a wide-range of clients. Marissa is responsible for supporting client accounts through media pitching, research and analysis, and drafting of communications materials. She works with Covanta Energy, Veolia Energy and the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), among others.

Lea Cademenos is now account coordinator with the public affairs practice group. Lea assists in the execution of strategic lobbying and legislative affairs plans for clients with conducting industry research and analysis, and monitoring state and federal legislative activities. Previously, Lea served as the executive assistant to Joe Baerlein, the president of Rasky Baerlein.

Lily Lynch serves as an account coordinator for the firm’s financial services and real estate practice.  In this role, she supports the account team’s implementation of various communications tactics on behalf of clients including the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, Catholic Charities, and the Planning Office for Urban Affairs.  Previously, Lily served as the executive assistant to Ann Carter, CEO of Rasky Baerlein.
