
Rachel Szala
Account Executive
Rachel provides public affairs support for clients from the Washington, D.C. office of Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications, including public and government relations. She supports the team by conducting issues research, implementing media relations outreach, developing digital media strategies, drafting communications materials and coordinating legislative affairs events. Rachel also operates the D.C. office’s creative design suite for business development projects and client assignments.
Prior to joining Rasky Baerlein, Rachel worked as a public policy associate for a government and business consulting firm based in Columbus, OH. She assisted clients through legislative research and analysis, and execution of state lobbying efforts on issues, including biotechnology, healthcare reform, state infrastructure and workforce development. She also served in the Ohio Senate as a senate page for the Chairman of the State & Local Government committee.
Rachel earned dual bachelors’ degrees with honors and distinction in political science and sociology from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and serves on Ohio State’s John Glenn School of Public Affairs Alumni Society Board of Advisors.
